RFQ: City of Hilliard, Ohio Sculpture at The Well

Due Due: October 26, 2026, by 3pm EST

The City of Hilliard (the “City”) is seeking qualifications from an artist or an artist team to conceptualize, fabricate, and install an outdoor sculpture on the north exterior of The Well. The Well is the City’s new 110,000-square-foot Recreation and Wellness facility that offers a wide array of amenities, including an aquatic center, a gymnasium, an indoor running track, a fitness and weight room, and various classrooms. In alignment with Hilliard’s forthcoming public art plan, the artwork should reflect the character of Hilliard and enhance the City’s visual landscape.

Upon submission of qualifications, a selection committee, composed of members from the Hilliard Public Arts Commission and City of Hilliard Staff, will review and will ultimately select at least 3, but no more than 4, finalists (applying as either individual artists or in artists teams), who will each be asked to propose and design a site-specific outdoor sculpture.

This RFQ is open to artists based in the United States.
